Never Forget

When I was sixteen, I used to sit in my room all night, listening to the radio, hoping that one day I could become a radio announcer.
I used to wonder how the world of radio worked and what, if any, were their secrets and scandals. Later, while in college, I took up a part time job in a company that is the home to many radio stations. I would often run into the radio announcers whom I grew up listening to and it was such an amazing time in my life.
Yet I still always thought I could never fill their shoes. Especially when I did not speak as well they did. However the dream lived on.
Years passed and I was employed in the radio industry on and off, working behind the scenes, with hopes of making it. There were a lot of obstacles, one of them taking the form of an employer who did not believe in what I had to offer. Unfortunately it resulted in me being fired from the company that I had so wanted to work for.
I moved on from the radio industry, believing that I was never good enough and the dream would have to remain a dream forever. Until one fine day, a long lost friend called me up asking if I would like to audition as a News Presenter for a new radio station called Fly FM.
So I took up the challenge once more and the rest is history. Point is, never give up on your dream. If you work hard enough towards it, you can reach it. Believing in yourself and what you can do is very important and do not let anybody bring you down.
Here is a song that gets me emotional every time. I love the part where it says "Never forget where you've come here from. Soon this will all be someone else's dream"
I am living my dream. Soon it will be your dream.
Take That - Never Forget
