<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I'm so terrible at keeping a blog, I swear. The only reason I blogged so regularly while on radio was because my boss kept breathing down my neck about it. Whenever I missed a post, my boss would bring it up in the next team meeting. Do you have any idea how scary that is? Lol. Anyways, I will be traveling soon and I figure, what better reason to start updating again.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">So look out for wonderful scenic photos coming your way in October. In the mean time, there are a few things I would like to rant about. Mainly this one thing that happened a few weeks back. Pretty sure many people can relate to this as it happens more often than we would like to admit. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">A very good friend of mine contacted me awhile back, saying she wanted to borrow some money. I had quite a bit to spare especially as she said she would pay me back the following week. I had borrowed money from her countless times so I figured this would not be a problem. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">In fact, one time I was in Paris stuck with no money (loooooong story) and she transferred a significant amount into my account without asking anything. So yeah, I had borrowed from her before and she is a close friend so I did not think much of it. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">So a week passed and I did not hear from her but this was typical anyways because she is always busy. And then a couple more days went by and I started to get desperate.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">You see, I am traveling to the US next month and I have been changing money little by little for the past few months. Being a freelancer, money does not come in once a month, sometimes several times a month and sometimes once in two to three months. Some clients are just terrible paymasters (lets save that story for another post, another time).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I had a stash of US dollars which I had changed when the rate was still 3.86 but I was running out of Ringgit really fast. My next payment was not due for a few more weeks, leaving me with no choice but to contact my friend.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I texted her, saying I kinda needed to use money and if she had enough to pay me back. No reply. Okay fine, she's known not to reply texts almost all the time. So I waited a bit more, thinking she would absolutely get back to me when she had time, seeing as to how important this was. Benefit of the doubt.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">It did not benefit me at all. No reply. Funny thing was, she was suddenly very active on social media (This is a person who hardly ever posts anything on social media, compared to me who posts at least one photo a day). I texted again. No reply. A number of days passed and out of the blue she texted me saying "By the way, I am not ignoring you. Things have been crazy. I will pay you before you head out to US."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Something along those lines. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Now, she is an old friend. A very good old friend. We have been through a lot together and she has lent me money countless times. This was not about the money anymore. This was about the fact that I felt disrespected as a person. I was disappointed and upset and I made a conscious decision not to reply to her text. She did not bother to look for me after my no reply.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I took a stack of my USD and changed them back to Ringgit, knowing full well that I would need to replace this USD at a much higher rate before I leave the country. What a waste yeah? Well I had no choice. My car needed to be refueled and my tummy wanted food.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I believe it has been a month and recently while scrolling through social media, I found her in another country. Last night, somebody posted a photo of her being even closer to where I live. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I am not posting this so she would read it. I am beyond confident she does not read my blog, neither does she have the time to. I am posting this to ask you what you would do if you were in my shoes. I don't care about the money anymore but a real heartfelt apology would go a long way at this point. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I don't know. What do you think? </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Recently I followed my Mama to Putrajaya to settle a home loan thing. And there was a bazaar outside the Kementerian Perumahan building. Vendors were selling everything from robes to hijabs to kitchenware. And then I came across this guy who was folding clothes using a plastic board.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/U-FT3heTbvU" width="560"></iframe>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I had seen this once before on an infomercial in New Zealand and had wanted it for the longest time. Now I know a lot of you have learnt a simple way of folding clothes on youtube but this is something I could easily teach Mama. Not another technique on folding clothes, just a contraption to help her do it easily while keeping it neat. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">As I guessed, she loved it and is still using it today. Now if you are wondering where this bazaar was so you could buy one yourself, I have news, this bazaars move from one government office to another every month. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So here is a better alternative. The vendor told me that he opens his booth every other Sunday at The Curve's bazaar. He tries to be there most Sundays so that is the best place for you to go hunt for him okay? Good luck! </span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">A few weeks back I saw something in the bookshop Borders that reminded me of somebody I met back in 2009. You see in 2009 my boyfriend, Aaron and I took a trip to UK to visit both our best friends and a few more friends in Paris. It was a very tight budget trip and we got by with the help of so many wonderful friends over in both countries. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">While in UK, we took a weekend trip to London with some friends and met up with another Malaysian friend who was living and working in London at the time. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">One of the days in London, all of us took a walk down a row of shops, I do not exactly remember where but there were a lot of people hanging out in the back alley. As we walked down that street, we bumped into a street performer James and his ginger cat with a scarf around its neck, Bob. James was walking around with his guitar while Bob was comfortably perched on top of James' guitar. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">James approached us and said that for one Pound, he will sing for us. I told him that I only wanted to pet Bob. James told me for one Pound, he will sing <i>and </i>I could pet Bob. So we struck a deal. The whole time James sang, I petted Bob and Aaron took a video of the whole thing (unfortunately the hard disk where I saved the video is broken and I cannot retrieve the video). </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">After James finished his song, we paid them, said goodbye to Bob and they both went on their merry way. Last month, about five years later, I went into Borders and found this book.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjab0JIFf7EikKGvFrpDaMYphMw5ZUspz1VdKaaz8WKgkVm0iTAQHF62ZJlFwtunGs9gtZyqo79NVxwt1MPpEsTlVdtw_cA3AHtGLWSwpqxvMxaIEQXFphRad_YDhQxVFpVQctRhAdCTv0/s1600/IMG_2081.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjab0JIFf7EikKGvFrpDaMYphMw5ZUspz1VdKaaz8WKgkVm0iTAQHF62ZJlFwtunGs9gtZyqo79NVxwt1MPpEsTlVdtw_cA3AHtGLWSwpqxvMxaIEQXFphRad_YDhQxVFpVQctRhAdCTv0/s1600/IMG_2081.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I could not believe my eyes! James had since written a book about Bob and it became the No 1 bestseller! According to the book, James was homeless when he found an injured Bob, nursed him back to health and they have been best buddies ever since.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPtfha1ri_22LFFjAj25jFtFGAIHyUwohh60JNNwK8-K_DcNRTeo904DExE4FO79eIrLLMRo-NaCGBw_oa0qpfzWhSkk2NZ_esSvoGau5-d0dpkZ6vKILotS9Wk5szHJ7fc7kBC0QOcEQ/s1600/IMG_2080.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPtfha1ri_22LFFjAj25jFtFGAIHyUwohh60JNNwK8-K_DcNRTeo904DExE4FO79eIrLLMRo-NaCGBw_oa0qpfzWhSkk2NZ_esSvoGau5-d0dpkZ6vKILotS9Wk5szHJ7fc7kBC0QOcEQ/s1600/IMG_2080.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I also found another book James wrote after the wildly successful first book and the second one contained delightful photos of Bob doing different things including taking a walk (aweee), perched on James' guitar (double aweeee) and wearing different scarves(triple aweeee). I will finish this book and let you know how their story went.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Incredibly out of the millions of people living in London, I actually ran into this pair before they shared their heartwarming story with the world. I hope James is no longer living on the streets and that both he and Bob now have a warm home to go to at night. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I am a big fan of yours, Bob! May you live a good long life aside your best friend, James Bowen. </span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The last time I blogged about food was about Rakuzen. Right after finishing that post, I started craving for Japanese food. So that night we headed to our favourite Japanese restaurant, Rakuzen in SS15 Subang Jaya. As we parked the car, we came across a Pakistani cuisine restaurant just a few shops down the block from Rakuzen. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs6HKgZeDErhuJz1dc23acEfbnP9uc0N7G9mca-jKvWD_Z5FksemC2CNlRxR5AWLGvvz5UKCKOmilj16deuBWMxznLIihm7lNjTiVZivEwLBT8j8OB7UOOCzJ01DqZUCIrUZuvZKmjsss/s1600/IMG_1950.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhs6HKgZeDErhuJz1dc23acEfbnP9uc0N7G9mca-jKvWD_Z5FksemC2CNlRxR5AWLGvvz5UKCKOmilj16deuBWMxznLIihm7lNjTiVZivEwLBT8j8OB7UOOCzJ01DqZUCIrUZuvZKmjsss/s1600/IMG_1950.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Sheesh Mahal is the name of the restaurant and the host had on a full suit. He stood outside the doors, smiling at us from ear to ear. From outside we could see that the restaurant was well lit and beautifully decorated. We stood there for awhile, trying to decide on whether or not we still wanted to go ahead with Rakuzen or try something new for a change. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">My boyfriend and I are big time foodies. We have done the spontaneous foodie road trip before, we try new places any chance we get, we love the food network, you know, we are your typical foodies. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Yet sometimes, we have our reservations. You know that feeling when you have high expectations of an eatery and then you end up severely disappointed by the food, service or ambience. And seeing as to how we have never heard any recommendations from friends with regards to Sheesh Mahal, we were not so sure if we should try it out ourselves. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So we dished out our smartphones and checked for reviews on Trip Advisor. Turns out Sheesh Mahal has a four star rating on Trip Advisor and all reviewers had the best of things to say about the food, the service and the ambience. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So we walked in and were greeted by smiley faces and bright wallpaper. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPolSaFPCuk9hbZzZqtxuc7LQp3zFNovbD9lXFWxqGhjKGwsXF7p7V1mN6t8sxujxUV9qirLg9MjqSHC3P_JAU4IixCOEWCMHAV9YG-1UX9zDIAMOxKVo3rwnjefi7NEdO2jTVyusIrBk/s1600/IMG_1937.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPolSaFPCuk9hbZzZqtxuc7LQp3zFNovbD9lXFWxqGhjKGwsXF7p7V1mN6t8sxujxUV9qirLg9MjqSHC3P_JAU4IixCOEWCMHAV9YG-1UX9zDIAMOxKVo3rwnjefi7NEdO2jTVyusIrBk/s1600/IMG_1937.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif4a0ifBE3W7ZFhwP_Uvj2-_fsSv4_g2TeUWfIPBQkPyhw5BFgYBcfzgdVYoHN8NGyEnyw_KPODkYxy_jJXaOECtwtKz5-5KBNYA1-SPLgohjhcRUSWdGt2Skid-rwAbmapuFj4WZuTPY/s1600/IMG_1945.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif4a0ifBE3W7ZFhwP_Uvj2-_fsSv4_g2TeUWfIPBQkPyhw5BFgYBcfzgdVYoHN8NGyEnyw_KPODkYxy_jJXaOECtwtKz5-5KBNYA1-SPLgohjhcRUSWdGt2Skid-rwAbmapuFj4WZuTPY/s1600/IMG_1945.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyO28HV2sq1K_DwugG3bP6DHCz_J0D8m3hV8WyoV5rasQaoidpL2hFL-Nh4Qkdlsbkec2waNesFHLBxoREW2bYacVZen-8MJtcUUZtUaeqprhjEjsyi7VSs8I5ZkxBtNq9RiKAqZB50kE/s1600/IMG_1946.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyO28HV2sq1K_DwugG3bP6DHCz_J0D8m3hV8WyoV5rasQaoidpL2hFL-Nh4Qkdlsbkec2waNesFHLBxoREW2bYacVZen-8MJtcUUZtUaeqprhjEjsyi7VSs8I5ZkxBtNq9RiKAqZB50kE/s1600/IMG_1946.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">My first thought was, "Hmm they have good online reviews yet the place is near empty." Only three tables were occupied, including ours. I later found out this was because the place is still very new. A lot of people come to dine yet a lot more still do not know about their existence. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">My next thought was that Sheesh Mahal's decor looks like fine dining and that we should have been better dressed. But looking around, I found other patrons dressed in t-shirt and jeans also. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">And then I looked at the menu and was surprised at how reasonably priced the dishes are! The place may look like fine dining but the price is far from. However that does not mean the service is discounted because we were treated like Kings and Queens. The waiters were polite, pleasant, ever helpful and always prompt when called upon. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglULwbLQXSrIxYoVngTbzHR3kCGOd-tpIbgvDwnx12Iamh2mAqbvryG1UC42ctdyiDDLUtY3crtBJPglogBi_7tLeKFLUl6XMYPYFaf_wHdRwwtjfngBehL3gxjlexAlZrxQf1tB0tbi0/s1600/IMG_1936.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglULwbLQXSrIxYoVngTbzHR3kCGOd-tpIbgvDwnx12Iamh2mAqbvryG1UC42ctdyiDDLUtY3crtBJPglogBi_7tLeKFLUl6XMYPYFaf_wHdRwwtjfngBehL3gxjlexAlZrxQf1tB0tbi0/s1600/IMG_1936.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">We ordered a serving of Briyani Rice, one Butter Naan, one serving of Palaak Paneer (spinach and cottage cheese), Chicken Tandoori and Fish Tikka.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The Tandoori Chicken was perfectly cooked, well marinated but incredibly salty. Since everything else they served was perfect, we forgave them for this (hopefully one time) mistake. Anyway other reviewers on Trip Advisor have great things to say about this dish. And you know what, I believe them because apart from the accidental saltiness, the chicken was perfect.</span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Online businesses are mushrooming everywhere. From Instagram to Facebook, these days it seems like everybody has something to sell. This is definitely a good thing as these social media platforms make it easier for the regular joe to reach a wider audience when advertising their items. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Fashionistas are selling jackets, skirts, blouses, handmade accessories while hijabsters are selling hijabs, shawls, scarves, jubahs and maternity dresses. Others offer English tea sets, plates, bowls (my Mama is a huge fan of these. Every other day, the Gdex guy would be honking outside her gate). </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">There is a world of items to be purchased through Instagram and Facebook and social media users are buying them everyday. However of late, I keep hearing girlfriends complain about sellers who do not offer a tracking number after payment has been made. Worse still, the items arrive late and when customers Whatsapp the seller (most popular form of communication between customers and sellers), they get no reply. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">At the end of the day, customers log on to their social media networks and find the sellers badmouthing them, calling them all kinds of names from kancheong, to impatient to difficult. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Whoever said running an online business is easy was wrong. Of course most of you are running these businesses as a side income but the moment you have a big load of orders, you need to give special attention to your customers, no matter how difficult they can be. The customer is always right. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">You cannot <b>not</b> reply your customers' messages and you cannot expect the customer to understand that you were not available because you were in a meeting/driving/eating. Customer service should be your priority. If you cannot handle customers' messages twenty-four hours a day, you have to hire somebody who can. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">How would you feel if you ordered something from Zalora and after making payment, your item does not arrive. And then you called Zalora's customer service department and nobody answers. And then you log on to Zalora's Facebook and you find them posting a complain about you calling and harassing them. I ask you again, how would you feel?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Awhile back somebody sent me a photo of a conversation that took place between a buyer and a seller. The buyer was simply asking the seller when her item would be arriving but the seller's reply was something along the lines of "Give me you account number. I will refund you. I cannot stand dealing with difficult customers."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So the buyer, obviously offended, replied "How do you mean I am difficult? I am merely asking you when my item is arriving. I asked you for the tracking number awhile back and you did not reply."</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The buyer did not respond. So the buyer went on and on about how the seller lacked professionalism and the seller's only reply was, an emoticon of a pig's snout. Not only did the seller not handle this professionally, she was also immature.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Remember, when handling other people's money (especially strangers), you have to be courteous, patient and above all, polite. Customers can be difficult, customers can harass you day and night but you as a seller need to maintain integrity. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Once you open up your Facebook and Instagram to strangers so they can view your items, you are a public social media figure. You do <b>not </b>use those accounts to b*tch, scream and yell about others. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">All this said, there are a large number of very reputable online businesses. For instance, the people my Mama has purchased items from are always prompt and always available for any enquiries. A word of advice to those who are thinking of starting an online business, you need to hire help. You should have somebody who can ship items as many times possible in one day and you should have somebody who can reply your customers messages from 9am-5pm daily. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Starting an online business sure sounds like an easy way to make money but like everything good in life, it is not as easy as you think. </span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">A few weeks back, I posted on instagram photos of my Mama, my brother and myself shopping for groceries at KLIA 2. After that, I got a lot of whatsapp messages from friends asking "Why on earth were you buying frozen chicken from the new airport?"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Let me clarify. Firstly, my parents live in Kota Seriemas, Nilai. Now even though the official address says Nilai, Kota Seriemas is really near to the Sepang International Circuit, KLIA 2 and KLIA. For as long as they have been living there, they only shop for groceries at Mydin and Tesco. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">There is really nothing wrong with Mydin and Tesco, in fact both places have everything we need for our every day cooking. However, once in awhile when Papa and Mama have a craving for western dishes, we find it hard to search for western herbs and spices. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So the moment I heard from Hafiz (my ex on air partner) that KLIA 2 has a Jaya Grocer, I immediately called Mama "OMG Ma, we <b>have</b> to make roast chicken. KLIA 2 has a Jaya Grocer!"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Mama "Jaya Grocer tu apa?" </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">After a lengthy explanation, Mama agreed to check out Jaya Grocer in KLIA 2 with me. That weekend I went home to Nilai (I live in KL) and picked up my Mama and Amir (my annoying brother). </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpwnV9pKa8oiO74JffVS7QUdDnqknC0rw1IlGSSBn-UtV5wIdc0QF9xmJGBTlsZJToiVjhm12vQjf5BwL3lx2_j2hLFP4cyesH0amjARSWS0Xyzva3KM9dm_WCikbciavvOg0VOrp3F2k/s1600/IMG_1623.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpwnV9pKa8oiO74JffVS7QUdDnqknC0rw1IlGSSBn-UtV5wIdc0QF9xmJGBTlsZJToiVjhm12vQjf5BwL3lx2_j2hLFP4cyesH0amjARSWS0Xyzva3KM9dm_WCikbciavvOg0VOrp3F2k/s1600/IMG_1623.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Mama : Jaya Grocer tu apa? (I hope Mama does not read this post. She is going to lose it if she finds out I used this photo hahaha).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Finding a parking was easy. Even though the airport was full of people,(those flying off, those arriving and those who sebok want to shopping shopping like us) I think not many drove their cars. Yes, the parking fee is as expensive as KLIA. The moment you walk into the building from the carpark, you will enter Gateway @ KLIA 2, which is their mall. The mall has many eateries and shops (which I will tell you about shortly).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">That day was the first day Air Asia started operating in KLIA 2. There were a lot of people who looked lost and unsure of where they should go to check in. Thankfully every where we turned, we saw an Ask Me person. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisqdspi_5kCLm5GwCaEdIOJFcnzeIpVgBZWmzuRJHPIQRw5UdKS4Yz-5yGVdcjyc8TRxXu_Ii3YT1_L4GNkhQVCyqfxGu5px2VMzrbZEME6zS6SjFvgN-6UONEfU74W83drU47X9OBaN8/s1600/IMG_1628.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisqdspi_5kCLm5GwCaEdIOJFcnzeIpVgBZWmzuRJHPIQRw5UdKS4Yz-5yGVdcjyc8TRxXu_Ii3YT1_L4GNkhQVCyqfxGu5px2VMzrbZEME6zS6SjFvgN-6UONEfU74W83drU47X9OBaN8/s1600/IMG_1628.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></span></div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">These guys and gals had permanent smiles on their faces and were very friendly and warm. They pointed us towards Jaya Grocer.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcKbEeuKWvjyYipmBB74EIs8PRBeGghguzs-Q8m6A9kqb5YKbpJ3P42_twKVCfyAgm7w9uxQOjuO6yt4HnqRhEsjFSUTKjEq8CsbjDPQDHY4vI3ZPw_PpFUZSMS-qDF3X5eTo2GHTp8Zw/s1600/IMG_1627.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcKbEeuKWvjyYipmBB74EIs8PRBeGghguzs-Q8m6A9kqb5YKbpJ3P42_twKVCfyAgm7w9uxQOjuO6yt4HnqRhEsjFSUTKjEq8CsbjDPQDHY4vI3ZPw_PpFUZSMS-qDF3X5eTo2GHTp8Zw/s1600/IMG_1627.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">This poyo guy is my brother, Amir. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Jaya Grocer has a cafe inside surrounded by aisles of grocery items. Their frozen section has everything from chicken to beef to fish. Although their prices are slightly more expensive than in KL, I do not find them unreasonable. Anyway, it is not like we are planning to buy our everyday groceries from here. Only for those times when we need ingredients which are not sold at Tesco or Mydin (or Kedai Runcit Ali). </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">After we got everything on our list, Mama wanted to rush home. But Amir wanted to look for The Loaf (Oh yeah, we are huge fanatics of The Loaf's Cranberry Cheese Scones). So Amir and I decided to drop Mama off at home and come back that night. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZXFsWNXklkstMk97pcOoK7FfBQM9XFxx82h8ZtEE7zv77UxL0fXYKZPij3QQb2JVGbeToF-9nSzw2f2NzjtAPL8nDwigsJFUXg2oxjWR01VmakMLmHe3-MXHfl3FsfiO1ocSs2XVD-bQ/s1600/IMG_1629.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZXFsWNXklkstMk97pcOoK7FfBQM9XFxx82h8ZtEE7zv77UxL0fXYKZPij3QQb2JVGbeToF-9nSzw2f2NzjtAPL8nDwigsJFUXg2oxjWR01VmakMLmHe3-MXHfl3FsfiO1ocSs2XVD-bQ/s1600/IMG_1629.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">We were told we could push our trolley to the car. Unfortunately we could not locate a trolley area at the carpark. Perhaps the management can look into this.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So that night, we came back to KLIA 2 and were greeted by a traffic jam!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkNUDdKw_1CnxzaX8JRXdpovy8JtvbCfFht0Hm9Ra6sXj62qMCeB3UD2qtfkeuRyy99sDfa5VbXdahaJ-3AizF7f2jx0SQFfgoW1nwTmOpTwZvk9xSMHEabbyegFZJZsAbaP_P0Ykax6Y/s1600/IMG_1635.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkNUDdKw_1CnxzaX8JRXdpovy8JtvbCfFht0Hm9Ra6sXj62qMCeB3UD2qtfkeuRyy99sDfa5VbXdahaJ-3AizF7f2jx0SQFfgoW1nwTmOpTwZvk9xSMHEabbyegFZJZsAbaP_P0Ykax6Y/s1600/IMG_1635.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">We later found out this was because it was the first day of operations for Air Asia and a lot of flights were delayed.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">After parking the car, we walked all over Gateway @ KLIA. The idea was to list down all the shops and eateries available so next time we want to buy something or eat a dish that is otherwise only available in KL, we could opt for KLIA 2 instead. Yes, they have a Guardian Pharmacy for my shopping pleasure. I mean, which girl does not love the pharmacy ey?</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">We saw this sweet little cafe called Nanny's Pavillion but did not stop to dine. Might just try it out next time. We also found Chatime, Marrybrown, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Dome, O'Briens, KK Supermart (for whatever reason, Amir was really excited to see KK Supermart, padahal kat Nilai pun ada), KFC, Oldtown White Coffee, and the one we came for, The Loaf. Our favourite Abang who was previously the manager at The Loaf Empire is now the manager at The Loaf KLIA 2 (I told you we are fanatics). </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The Cranberry Cheese Scones are priced at RM3.90 each which is a vast difference from KL, where the scones are priced around RM3.00 - RM3.20. Later Mama told us "Hah RM3.90? Baik pegi Empire."</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">As we were walking back towards the car with bags full of The Loaf's Cranberry Cheese Scones, I came across my favourite Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks. I was as excited as Amir was when he saw KK Supermart. </span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Gimme my XXL Crispy Chicken now!</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Okay that was fast.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Again, everything served is slightly more expensive than in KL but if you think about it, driving from Nilai to KL for XXL Crispy Chicken will cost petrol and toll amounting to the same price paid for XXL Crispy Chicken eaten in KLIA 2. Yes? I say yes! Nom nom nom.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">In conclusion, if you live in Nilai/Bandar Enstek/Sepang, visiting KLIA 2 for food once in awhile is pretty worth it. However, I doubt the same can be said for shopping. Having said that, I did not exactly check out the prices of shopping items so how about you let me know once you have seen for yourself. Thank you in advance. </span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">A few days ago I read a heartbreaking story about a man who shot arrows into a dog that was barking outside his gate. Attached was a photo of the dog standing on the street with three arrows stuck to her body. As an animal lover, I could not take the heartbreak of looking at a helpless animal just standing there, emotionless, not complaining of pain, not crying, not able to articulate the hurt she was feeling physically.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Do you get where I am coming from? The man who shot the arrows claims he was just protecting his children but my question is, why couldn't he just spray the dog with a water hose? </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I know the exact reason why. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I grew up in a community that taught me dogs are harmful animals that should not be touched or kept, due to our faith. What they failed to include was that dogs are just animals. They have no voice of their own and therefore humans should <b>not </b>be cruel to them, regardless of faith.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I used to be terrified of dogs. I thought every dog is vicious and are out to kill humans. I thought touching a dog would anger God. I thought I was supposed to be mean to dogs because they are evil. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Fortunately I met a lot of animal lovers along the way and I learnt a great deal from these people. Yes, my faith teaches me that a dog's saliva is najis. It is dirty and you will have to cleanse yourself in a spiritual manner if you ever come in contact. Yes, my faith teaches me that I should not keep dogs, unless the intent is for them to guard the wellbeing of my house and its occupants. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">But never ever did my faith teach me to be cruel to dogs just because their saliva is dirty. Never did my faith teach me to harm dogs if they frightened me with their barks outside my gate. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">It is sad that the teachings have been misconstrued so badly to the point that people see dogs as evil beings that need to be eradicated at all costs. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Of course, this fear of dogs also comes from stories of people being mauled to death by strays or house dogs which have not been properly leashed by their owners. But please, take the time to study dogs. Not all dogs attack for no reason. There are aggressive breeds and there are rabid dogs. Just as there are aggressive humans and crazy people who go around robbing and attacking old ladies (which is another regretful story which made the newspapers today). </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">But please rationalize, why why WHY would you harm an ANIMAL which has no mind of its own just because it scares you. Dear man, (who shot the dog with arrows) if this country had stricter animal laws, you would be in jail right now, awaiting trial. You would go to jail or be given a hefty fine or both. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">However our animal laws are almost non-existent, therefore, please use your common sense. Please do not teach the young that it is okay to hurt these animals. No religion teaches its followers that it is alright to harm animals, be them dogs. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">By the way, the dog in question died today due to ticks. The vet concluded that the dog was malnourished and ill. She had been abandoned for a long time and the arrow incident further traumatized her. I cried when I read this in the newspaper today. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I am not asking you to love dogs or hug them or let them lick you, I am simply asking you to have a heart. </span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Have you ever been to Rakuzen? I started frequenting Rakuzen after seeing Hanie Hidayah's tweets about Rakuzen in Empire. That was about four years ago and I have never looked back.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Before Rakuzen, I used to eat at Kura, the Japanese restaurant in One World Hotel. Now I know, a lot of you might be thinking, "Ooooh kaya makan Japanese kat hotel. Cewah cewah." But let me tell you, you will be surprised at how reasonably priced the food is at Kura. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">In fact, Kura is owned by Super Dining, the same chain that owns Rakuzen, Zen, Hokkaido Ichiba and many more. They all have the same looking menu. I do believe Sushi Zanmai and Pasta Zanmai are under the same management also. Everything they serve is of high quality, prepared in a hygienic environment, and absolutely yummylicious.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Last year I had the privilege of visiting Tokyo and while in Asakusa, we dined at a proper Japanese restaurant (food is really expensive in Japan. Most of the time, we ate from bento boxes purchased at convenient stores). </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">And based on that comparison, I dare say Rakuzen is the closest to the Japanese meal I had in Asakusa. Here are some photos of everything I have tried at Rakuzen over the years. I may not remember their names (I cannot even remember what I had for breakfast today) but I assure you, they are all yum yum for the tum tum. Sumpah, nok. Mak tak tipu!</span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I do not remember what this is called but I am an absolute fan of soba. That might be the reason why I ordered this. I always order Zaru Soba on the side. Zaru Soba is basically cold buckwheat noodles served with a side of cold soup. <div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">This is the Dragon Roll. A must have every time I visit Rakuzen. That is deep fried shrimp in the middle and a piece of avocado on top. HEAVENLY.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSoAE8ETOhYdk_K0EXSx3nw7_pb7T80FCdooW2-uHpVE7Ttea3iAqge6KtLa2OpVv96iUIM5Mzi9WHZ-Z9VsqNTYgGEf8f7bLyWwfZioJwPRtSaOcTcTeKCaoiHaA5sfCKkpjGLpJTt1M/s1600/IMG_1458.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSoAE8ETOhYdk_K0EXSx3nw7_pb7T80FCdooW2-uHpVE7Ttea3iAqge6KtLa2OpVv96iUIM5Mzi9WHZ-Z9VsqNTYgGEf8f7bLyWwfZioJwPRtSaOcTcTeKCaoiHaA5sfCKkpjGLpJTt1M/s1600/IMG_1458.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I am not a fan of Macha (Not the guy at the mamak stall, I am talking about the green tea ice cream) so I always order this for dessert. I forget what it is called but it is essentially vanilla ice cream wrapped in mochi skin, topped with whipped cream. I swear, this was sent down from the Japanese heavens above.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Okay I am getting hungry just looking at these old photos. I may just have dinner there tonight. Oh by the way, Rakuzen has many outlets. Rakuzen Subang Jaya (SS15 - My favourite outlet), Rakuzen Hartamas Shopping Centre, Rakuzen GTower, Rakuzen Desa Parkcity, Rakuzen Empire, Rakuzen Publika, Rakuzen Tropicana City Mall, Rakuzen Ara Damansara and Rakuzen Gurney Paragon Mall. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">If there is one thing I do not enjoy at Rakuzen, it would be the Fried Salmon Skin. The deep fried skin itself is wonderful and crunchy however they drizzle the dish with sweet soy sauce and I am not a fan of sweet savoury dishes. Everything else is wonderful.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">If you have never been to Rakuzen before, you should start now. </span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">For the first time in my life I had won a contest! One fine night while watching the CI channel, I caught an advertisement about a contest to win meet and greet passes to meet Kurtwood Smith and Omar Epps. In case these names are not too familiar, Kurtwood Smith is the guy who played Red Forman on That 70's Show. Yeah, Eric Forman's fierce father who was always threatening to put his foot up everybody's ass.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/f6FQPbB5urI" width="420"></iframe>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Meanwhile, you may remember Omar Epps as Dr Eric Foreman in House M.D. (Funny how Red's son was also Eric Forman in That 70's Show). So I thought, hey how neat would it be to meet Red Foreman, right? He's no Keanu but I still grew up watching him on TV and he gave me a lot of laughs over the years.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Both men now star in a brand new TV Show called Resurrection. The show is about an old man (Kurtwood Smith) who lost his son in an accident about thirty-two years ago and suddenly one fine day, an FBI Agent (Omar Epps) turns up at his doorstep with his lost son, still a child, not having aged a day over the past thirty-two years. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">This show has already made its debut in the States and ratings are encouraging. So this contest was basically Lifetime Asia's effort to introduce would be fans </span></div>
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/RGtNrz8dhV4" width="560"></iframe>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Mak tak pernah menang apa-apa contest in my life, nok. So I was not very optimistic but I tried anyway. All I had to do was answer a simple question and finish the sentence "I would like to meet Kurtwood Smith and Omar Epps because..."</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So anyways the dinner cum meet and greet was last night. I wore my best outfit, best shoes, carried my best clutch and got myself over to Aloft. I bumped into an old colleague, Aimi over there and we took a selfie, hoping to win the selfie contest while waiting for the actual meet and greet session.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivJwp0SlY2LqiRTZTI-GeMJHENfBfQ31DVDwx9ZML4hNPEY7ouSPfQxn6lo9cd16FXNsfzcUq7Py8fLOMfLpp8goqex9_wosSfSIZ1-VX8HAvxDDVhR1HMMvedRSceXCeQJJVLoXBtY2I/s1600/IMG_1517.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivJwp0SlY2LqiRTZTI-GeMJHENfBfQ31DVDwx9ZML4hNPEY7ouSPfQxn6lo9cd16FXNsfzcUq7Py8fLOMfLpp8goqex9_wosSfSIZ1-VX8HAvxDDVhR1HMMvedRSceXCeQJJVLoXBtY2I/s1600/IMG_1517.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The criteria to win the selfie contest was to make your selfie unique so we picked our noses. Unfortunately we did not win. Haih. Penat korek hidung tapi tak berhasil. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Finally the meet and greet session started and I lined up nervously. I had so many things I wanted to say to the both of them but time was not on my side. When it was my turn, all I managed to stir up was, "Hi Red Foreman. Hi Eric Forman." To which, Kurtwood Smith replied "We are the Foremans!" Lol. Omar was not as amused. He seemed thoroughly exhausted. He just gave me a tiny smile.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I met an old friend, Devi Da Lil Devil (I don't know why she calls herself that, she is the exact opposite of the devil) while lining up and she helped take the photos for me. Thank you, love!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Ooops not quite ready...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj42MgPQL1SsOf2ALsVL5ZdLPjZTykPBq-ZpT1wfQ-NgXIGy7QfOX-jBOOOM8JtGzBgDD-eGBejse-sBO5nPLNRiy4KiVzkX-g8j4j91_cZyFkB9rCKJzGp9We8SGaWUcVBf_c5IPfX5RI/s1600/IMG_1521.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj42MgPQL1SsOf2ALsVL5ZdLPjZTykPBq-ZpT1wfQ-NgXIGy7QfOX-jBOOOM8JtGzBgDD-eGBejse-sBO5nPLNRiy4KiVzkX-g8j4j91_cZyFkB9rCKJzGp9We8SGaWUcVBf_c5IPfX5RI/s1600/IMG_1521.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">And here we go, my muka jakun plus super shiny forehead. Yay! Achievement unlocked! If there was only one thing I could complain about, it would be that Omar probably needs to go shopping. That shirt... oh gurrrrl, I don't think so snap! Snap!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">At the end of the night, I took a full photo of my outfit of the day, just to show you the dress I picked out especially for the event.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinKwmKhiBLS7RYyxUVC22Ucwdjn1go_QdPEefnqDOocdJbQGXVznhzjQZlipASIHMBTyI_MMEMgGEGuCY_IbVsArWGewbQV1upv8Pn4BzxeYyW6Z9_T-3mNGY_BRqWAns98xt6Ybnc_vg/s1600/IMG_1524.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinKwmKhiBLS7RYyxUVC22Ucwdjn1go_QdPEefnqDOocdJbQGXVznhzjQZlipASIHMBTyI_MMEMgGEGuCY_IbVsArWGewbQV1upv8Pn4BzxeYyW6Z9_T-3mNGY_BRqWAns98xt6Ybnc_vg/s1600/IMG_1524.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">This dress is from River Island. I purchased it through Zalora after seeing photos of Nadine Ann Thomas (yes she was previously Miss Universe Malaysia) wearing it to an event. I thought to myself "Omaigawsh I want to look like Miss Universe, like totally". </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I love River Island, the cut fits me like a glove. Will show you a few more River Island pieces that I have, next time.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Ohhhh and if you are wondering what is the outcome of my cupping the other day, well, I still have the bruises but the pain has worn off. My back feels lighter and the nagging pain I had just above my buttocks has disappeared. I will definitely go for another session next month. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I have been having gastric attacks for the past two weeks and endless back pain for so many years now. Recently I heard from a friend that cupping might help. She tried it out while on holiday and it resolved her "angin" issues. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">And God knows I have angin. Not the Incredible-Hulk-Aku-Angin type angin but tummy and back. I usually go for massages and reflexology but I thought, hey why not try something new this time. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So I called up the place I usually frequent for reflexology and booked cupping for my friends and I. I thought I had signed up for wet cupping (the one where dirty blood is sucked out of your back) but instead, this was the traditional Chinese dry cupping.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Essentially what happens is you lie down on your front and they put a fiery cotton ball inside each cup, remove the fiery cotton ball and cup your back. The fire technique creates a vacuum that sucks the hell out of your back. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">My friends all had cups lining their backs from top to bottom. I had cups on my shoulders, arms, sides and all the way down my back. The therapist said this was because I have a lot of wind. Yeah, tell me something I don't already know. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuAwkMm7JSIQHtrI9ZkvPEX-AT_ycfup0jxWPycMTZtIhV5vXLHVRNV9nPwPa8I99kU7Lbatvrx2jL3P6J7i9xsBvkwsoYQ0u6Pa0WVbv-fdUXzZnap2AxMpoQwDp7hTn6fAQz1ZZQ95M/s1600/image.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuAwkMm7JSIQHtrI9ZkvPEX-AT_ycfup0jxWPycMTZtIhV5vXLHVRNV9nPwPa8I99kU7Lbatvrx2jL3P6J7i9xsBvkwsoYQ0u6Pa0WVbv-fdUXzZnap2AxMpoQwDp7hTn6fAQz1ZZQ95M/s1600/image.jpeg" height="320" width="271" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">After a few minutes, she removed each cup with a loud POP. My back was covered in round purple marks after that. So sore, I tell you, feels like somebody pinched me all over. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmtC3BeTA0SuMdgk6FltnIQtF3XyMJ-e7fJUC6-afXkeAkuoSThSIEXOmp5tEIXaSfk1O2Y8SaPjdrjhpNfFrY0j0RA058K1AXuVB89BBk2ohe6BexU_rEPXACtqjHFTg2tdW2cXY7SGo/s1600/image-1.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmtC3BeTA0SuMdgk6FltnIQtF3XyMJ-e7fJUC6-afXkeAkuoSThSIEXOmp5tEIXaSfk1O2Y8SaPjdrjhpNfFrY0j0RA058K1AXuVB89BBk2ohe6BexU_rEPXACtqjHFTg2tdW2cXY7SGo/s1600/image-1.jpeg" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Last night I did not sleep well after the cupping session. Every time I turned in bed, I was awoken by the pain. The therapist did warn me that today would be worse and yes, today feels like I have been scratching scabs off my back. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I am looking forward to the birds and roses feeling tomorrow. What ever the outcome of this, I will update you next time. In the meantime if you want to try cupping, you can go to Zouk Spa at 153, Jalan Radin Bagus, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. Or call them at 03-90583318 for inquiries. </span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I think you probably know that I wore braces for a brief period awhile back. I have had overlapping teeth ever since all my baby teeth fell off and have always wanted to wear braces. I used to pray I would one day have perfect teeth like Jessica Alba (muka macam Rosnah Mat Aris tapi angan nak rupa Mak Alba) Unfortunately at the time, my parents could not afford braces for me and the government dentist had a five year waiting list. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So I waited until I was about twenty eight years old and could afford it myself and I got it done. Many people who are considering braces have asked me a lot of questions on whether or not they should get braces. Here are some frequently asked questions, along with my answers.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">1) Are braces expensive?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i>It depends on where you get it done and what type of braces you opt for. I took the Damon Braces which self aligns without the use of rubber bands. Therefore if you see a person wearing braces without those coloured rubber bands, there is a good chance the person is using Damon's. Now Damon Braces are not cheap mainly because they work faster than normal braces. Speak to your dentist and he/she will make the best recommendation for you. My whole package cost RM7000 (not including retainers). There are many dental clinics that offer much cheaper packages. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">2) Will I have to remove teeth to wear braces?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i>Some people do, some people do not have to. I had to remove four teeth. The removal was not painful however the injecting of local anesthetic was uncomfortable. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">3) Does wearing braces hurt?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i>I have found that different people have different experiences. In the first week, I had to use dental wax because my mouth was filled with ulcers. These ulcers were the result of cuts caused by the braces. Once your mouth is used to the braces, you will stop getting cuts and ulcers. Apart from that, every once a month, you have to go to the dentist to tighten your braces. After each tightening, I was not able to eat solid food as I could not chew. Porridge and mashed potatoes became my best friend. But this would only last between three to four days.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">4) Why does your face look different now that the braces have come off?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i>I was told that braces not only straightens out your teeth but they also enhance your facial features. I dismissed the "enhanced facial features" part at first but later found it to be true. My chin is now sharper and my jaw is more refined. </i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">5) Do I have to use retainers?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i>I had to use retainers twenty four hours a day for the first six months. And only at night after that. There are also many different types of retainers that come at different prices. Again, speak to your dentist for a more detailed explanation. </i></span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I am really happy I got the whole thing done. It did wonders for my confidence. So if you ask me <i>Should I get braces?</i> I would say, definitely (if you need it. Those who were born with perfect teeth, I am jealous of you. K thanks bye)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">On the day I got my braces removed, my dentist showed me my before and after pictures. However he did not want to email it to me (pahhh), so I just took shots of the pictures of his pc monitor. </span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So the other day Ben (you remember Ben... my partner back at Fly fm, he used to be round like Doraemon but nowadays he is sporting a new buffed up Hulk Hogan look) called me up out of the blue and invited me for a movie.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Ben often does this when his wife is not available to teman him for dinner or a movie or both, and in this case, as I guessed, Stella was off to Langkawi and Ben wanted to watch a movie and have Japanese for dinner. Surprise surprise. But Ben is so lovable, you instantly forgive him.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZPnq3KzKAGcKYZpyLfOUCH0dml12Dwx3WcIQIQYC96L9CshofFkDTdmCQS3vUlnkzJgkKkbWJf5Rr6vga3FkoMhHdTHK2PkOsXiWqQrM4ysggdYKy_vGkQQKwTjgE4d-7wIGxWJubeIE/s1600/IMG_1227.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZPnq3KzKAGcKYZpyLfOUCH0dml12Dwx3WcIQIQYC96L9CshofFkDTdmCQS3vUlnkzJgkKkbWJf5Rr6vga3FkoMhHdTHK2PkOsXiWqQrM4ysggdYKy_vGkQQKwTjgE4d-7wIGxWJubeIE/s1600/IMG_1227.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Anyways, we decided to watch Oculus, the much talked about horror movie of the moment. Before agreeing to go, Ben asked me over the phone "Before you say yes or no, I want to watch a horror movie. You are okay with horror movies right?"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">YES I LOVE HORROR MOVIES. The scarier the better. Last Raya, I dragged my cousins to MBO Citta Mall for a midnight screening of The Conjuring. They never forgave me. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Even my Aunt who had earlier supported my cause, was upset with me afterwards. But everything is fine and dandy now, and she has given me two of her most loved designer handbags. So yeah, we are good. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Anywaysssss... so Ben and I headed out for Oculus. I did not find the movie very scary, but nevertheless good. I see it is more of a psychological thriller than a horror movie. Ignore the bad reviews, it is decently rated on both Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">But the real story I am here to tell is the subtitles that accompanied the movie. Sometimes when watching movies at cinemas, I wish just like Astro, I am able to switch off the subtitles.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">At one point, one of the characters said "You should talk to your fiance"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">And the subtitles translated the sentence as "Awak patut periksa kewangan awak." Ben and I could not help but stifle our giggles.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Later on another character yelled out "Horse shit!" And yes, you guessed it, the subtitles read "Tahi kuda!"</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I truly wonder who these subtitlists are. Are they simply given the job so we would have a translation, without any quality control whatsoever? </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">What ever it may be, go watch Oculus, you may or may not enjoy it, but at least you can make up your own conclusion as opposed to telling people "Mak Jah sebelah rumah cakap cerita tu merepek." </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Here's the trailer, taken from my BFF, Youtube.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Ps : Look out for James Lafferty, from the used to be famous One Tree Hill. He has grown up to become a very bad actor. Sorry, I had to warn you. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdnOb_ZbFIDFj2Rh7ZV62nosoZpK_2EV5CTov89lglCiBQJPYFK2-ji8FK2mZI2HthCA4uZJE4Gf0kECSEvc7AIuJxKgQj81tiF_NIQLydhxfaHtO57jfxLkSfmzFAXBoPzGp1V-T7cMw/s1600/IMG_6686.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdnOb_ZbFIDFj2Rh7ZV62nosoZpK_2EV5CTov89lglCiBQJPYFK2-ji8FK2mZI2HthCA4uZJE4Gf0kECSEvc7AIuJxKgQj81tiF_NIQLydhxfaHtO57jfxLkSfmzFAXBoPzGp1V-T7cMw/s320/IMG_6686.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Many years ago when I was younger, my mom used to make kerabu bunga betik for our family potluck gatherings. It was always there and I loved the mixed flavours of the pungent onions, salty udang kering and most of all the slight bitterness of the bunga betik. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">It was the most delicious thing to eat with rice. Unfortunately, slowly but surely Mama stopped making this kerabu. Bunga betik is difficult to find. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">For years now I have been yearning to have this kerabu again but nobody has seen any bunga betik anywhere. I asked all my Aunts and Uncles, I scoured markets, googled online but bunga betik was never to be seen again.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">And then suddenly, out of the blue, it happened.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Last week I went to the market and one lady was selling BUNGA BETIK!!! I immediately scooped up all the bunga betik she had and called Mama for the recipe. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">It turned out exactly like I remember. Best feeling ever.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">For those of you who requested for the recipe on instagram, here it is:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><u>Ingredients</u></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Udang kering (almost the same amount as your bunga betik)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Kerisik</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Shallots</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Lime</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Salt</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Bunga betik</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">First, boil the bunga betik to remove the bitterness. I boiled for about fifteen minutes. You can do it longer or for less time, it is up to you really. After that, drain the hot water and dry out the flowers till they are completely dry.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Next, rinse the udang kering and blend it dry till it's really fine.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Slice the shallots finely.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Mix everything together and squeeze one or two limes, depending on how much bunga betik you have. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Enjoy!</span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">A friend told me this story today and it sounded mighty scary. Recently my friend received a call from the number +1300881222 claiming to be TM. They told my friend that he owed RM3800 in unpaid bills to Unifi. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">My friend does not even own a Unifi account. But the "officer" had all his details, from his full name to his IC number. So my friend told him that all the details were correct but he is sure that he does not owe Unifi RM3800.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The the "officer" on the line advised him to call Bank Negara at the number 03-2788 5046 or 03-2788 5038. Not thinking much of it, my friend called one of the numbers and the answering machine sounded legit. He chose the option to speak to an officer. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The officer asked for all his details, including how many active bank accounts he has plus how much balance he has in each account. The "officer" then told my friend that they would call him back within an hour and that his case would be sent to court. He was also told not to make any bank transactions within the next three days.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Due to the suspicious nature of the "officer's" questions, my friend decided to call TM and Bank Negara after that. However both offices were not operating as it was a Sunday. So he did the next best thing, he googled the number </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">+1300881222 and all kinds of blogs appeared, warning people not to answer calls from said number.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">My friend then proceeded to redial the number only to find an Indonesian man on the other end of the line. He quickly called his banks and froze all his accounts. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Beware. There are a lot of phone scams going around. Keep this number in your phonebook so you know what to do in case you receive a call from them. </span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I giggled when I typed the God of Thunder. Don't now why. Maybe because he's so sexy.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So this wonderful, gorgeous, smoldering actor was in KL a few weeks back. And boy was he here long. About five to six weeks in total. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The day photos of him arriving in KLIA emerged, I wanted to meet him so badly. I wanted to tell him what a good actor I think he is and that I want to see him in more dramatic roles and no more Thor. I wanted to tell him that my girlfriends printed out a life size cardboard photo of him for my birthday. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

Not too long after, Guibo (from Fly fm) got in touch with me, asking for details. I just said I know he is here to shoot a new movie called Cyber and I know he is supposed to shoot in Perak and KL among other places. But that was all I knew.<br /><br />So Guibo and Zher took to the airwaves, asking people to help them stalk Hemsy. One day, a friend of mine sent me a photo of her friend with Chris Hemsworth. They were dining in a hotel when they bumped into him and his daughter. I almost died.<br /><br />But that was the first solid info I had on where he was staying. Grand Hyatt KL. So I told somebody who told somebody and soon Guibo and Zher heard about it and they went to Grand Hyatt, had expensive coffee and stalked him.<br /><br />They met him.</span></span></td></tr>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Hi my name is Nadia and I am an online shopaholic. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Truth be told, I had never bought anything online up till Ramadhan this year. My girlfriends and I were discussing baju raya and I rarely buy anything new for Raya. Most years, Mama would give me something she's tired of and I would be more than happy to don it come Raya morning. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">And then second day Raya I would just put on whatever old baju kurung or kebaya I could find in my room. But this year was different. As mentioned in my earlier post, I have recently reconnected with my girlfriends. So when they started talking about their gorgeous new outfits for Raya, I felt the desperate need to fit in.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So at age 31, I succumbed to peer pressure. I logged on to Zalora and browsed through Rizalman's collection. Choosing Zalora came naturally because I have worked closely with them a few times in the past and I trust their collections' quality. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Being the easy shopper that I am, I found something I liked within fifteen minutes, ordered it and shook my legs, overcome by nervousness. I had popped my online shopping cherry. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The very next day, my box arrived. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil8qxJdfZM_mwqmVsifPmYhZ3bBmp_s2vYFZR0cYm9GjFMIcEGNfW3k8AdYRwgU0T5Ilkt9Wc5ZVVS6cBCYkD0YAGO15vGn01gYX49JYhK3hlf3Ft2tANmmUnBe8tKWPaBEZSk2ccMQU0/s1600/IMG_5293.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil8qxJdfZM_mwqmVsifPmYhZ3bBmp_s2vYFZR0cYm9GjFMIcEGNfW3k8AdYRwgU0T5Ilkt9Wc5ZVVS6cBCYkD0YAGO15vGn01gYX49JYhK3hlf3Ft2tANmmUnBe8tKWPaBEZSk2ccMQU0/s320/IMG_5293.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">And at that moment, I knew I was in trouble. It was so incredibly convenient, I wanted more. So I went back online and browsed for another outfit to be worn on second day Raya. Within ten minutes, I had my eyes set on an orange outfit. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">But this time I did not order it. I put it in my wishlist and thought about it day and night for the next three days. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I would not call myself an impulse buyer but I always go shopping knowing what I want. I go in, I pick it up (sometimes I don't even bother trying it on) and I pay. I don't enjoy hanging around the store, trying five to ten outfits and walking out empty handed. And I don't go window shopping because I cannot stand the disappointment of coming home empty handed. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">So this was tricky. I had gone window shopping online. And I was empty handed for three days. Should I? </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">And then one of my girlfriends said she had ordered two RIzalman for Zalora outfits. I succumbed to peer pressure. Again. Opened my laptop, ordered the orange outfit and quietly waited for it the next day. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I know I know, I'm a lazy blogger and I apologize. A lot has happened so far. From meetings to events to weddings to reconnecting with friends to gaming to cooking to (unsuccessfully) stalking Chris Hemsworth. I have not been busy, I have just been really lazy hehe.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I apologize. I have not given up on blogging and I will try harder. Lets start with this. I have a childhood friend whom I have recently reconnected with. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Basically, for the past four years, I have not seen much of my school friends. I have no valid excuse for this except that I was going through some things. Nothing to do with them, it was just me sorting out things in my life. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Okay enough with the sob story, as I was saying, I have recently reconnected with a childhood friend who goes by the name of Zaida. </span></div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: x-small;">That's Le'an sitting next to me. Yeah we're all social morons.</span><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">And then a few weeks after Raya, unbelievable news hit us. That whole time we were all hanging out and joking around, Le'an had actually been diagnosed with stage four malignant thymoma. Yes, that would be lung cancer. Yes, at that age. Yes, we had no idea.<br /><br />It was beyond belief how well Zaida and Le'an concealed their emotions. Zaida had opted not to discuss the whole thing with anybody (for her own reasons) and Le'an only told a select few. Soon enough the news spread and most of us tried our best to reach out (in our own ways).<br /><br />We heard that Le'an had started chemotherapy but we did not know how he was really doing up till about a week ago when his right lung became filled with fluid and he was hospitalized. Doctors have been pumping out the fluid every day and they also decided to lower the doses of chemo due to complications.<br /><br />At this point, I had decided to be there for Le'an and Zaida the only way I knew how. I started whatssaping him every day with funny stories of what has been going on within our circle. If only you could read our messages, you would not believe Le'an is suffering the way that he is. The man is full of life, full of jokes, full of hope and full of optimism.<br /><br />And then a few days ago, they had decided on trying out an alternative treatment called Sevo Repa Germanium (SRG) but realized the cost is beyond their means. Not too long after, a bunch of friends got together and started collecting donations.<br /><br />I posted a photo of their happy family on instagram and shared their story. I ended my post with bank details on how people can help. Another friend of mine did the same and by the end of today, we heard that almost RM7000 has been collected from friends and strangers.<br /><br />Strangers. These are people with everyday problems of their own, families of their own and yet they found time to transfer money to a complete stranger in need.<br /><br />I admit, what with the ridiculous stories of crime and mean things people are doing to each other these days, I never expected strangers to actually reach out the way they have today. But miracles do happen and today is a testament to that.<br /><br />There is always hope. Never listen to those who say hope is an excuse for temporary happiness.<br /><br />I saw Le'an at the hospital today and he is growing weary of being strapped to a bed for more than a week now. Chemo day in day out. Pumping fluid day in day out. No TV, only a laptop. No walking around outside. No sun, no clouds, no moon. Yet this man has no complains.<br /><br />At about 1pm today he was in the middle of chemo and when I whatssaped him tonight, he was still in chemo. It is a terrible thing yet this strong couple can see so much beauty still.<br /><br />Never give up on hope.<br /><br />If you would like to contribute, donations can be made to Zaida's sister's account.<br /><br />Maybank Joint Account<br />164605040397<br />Nurul Suhaida binti Badarudin<br />soonangbeb@gmail.com<br /><br />Prayers would be much appreciated as well. Thank you all for taking time to read this post.<br /><br /></span></span></td></tr>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Hey hey so the weekend's around the corner and you probably have time to whip something quick in the kitchen. Here's something that only takes 10 minutes. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I sometimes make this creamy egg salad as a sandwich or mixed with potatoes to make a potato salad. This time around, I made it as a quick snack to be eaten with chopped celery. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjizAHHkwUjdzFo1IBB3_vrbIXnGaQ_7rhTubyj1mKRTfcmJMDaFgw9qmon1XdHCF5-hJh1Hh1yhzIL1nPXERehPiFf3HMiyHCeQGC3wQnuhkeB4RbfaALhf48T8csyYUYgHliZLEnBcS4/s320/IMG_2348+1.JPG" height="320" width="239" /> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Ingredients:</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Two Eggs</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Mayonaise</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Celery</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Salt</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Pepper</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">First, boil the eggs between ten to twelve minutes, depending on the size of the eggs. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Next, peel the eggs and leave to cool for about one minute. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Once they have cooled down, mash the eggs. Add in two to three scoops of mayonnaise. You can add more if you want it creamier. Season with salt and pepper and you are done! Chop the celery and eat together with egg salad. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Have an egg-cellent weekend. </span> </div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I keep seeing tiger prawns at the market but have never actually bought them. They look so beautiful, I was not sure if you could cook them the same way you cook other type of prawns. As usual, my curiosity finally got the better of me and I decided to try making tiger prawn curry. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">And in case you are wondering, tiger prawns are not very expensive, they are pretty much in the same price range as normal prawns of the same size. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOMsm85Fjr24ZAmKkFqYZDBeipqX2aFB9r7AhUkqN7S-XsfufLWXiKZwU8at8U2HUHNjvURrCzIpUP2ko4ejyAOLoR7aceYKrRwfZ4y8Muml24OhoTNnSOdYNnesM3U_NmLG3ypQtbUsM/s1600/IMG_2193.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOMsm85Fjr24ZAmKkFqYZDBeipqX2aFB9r7AhUkqN7S-XsfufLWXiKZwU8at8U2HUHNjvURrCzIpUP2ko4ejyAOLoR7aceYKrRwfZ4y8Muml24OhoTNnSOdYNnesM3U_NmLG3ypQtbUsM/s320/IMG_2193.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I got this bunch for RM14.50/kg. Prices may vary depending on size. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">After you have cut off the sharp part on top of the prawns head, just rinse them and leave to dry.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Here are the ingredients you will need:</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1 Medium onion</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2 Cloves of garlic</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> 2 Stalks of curry leaves</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Fry the onions, garlic, halba, biji sawi, curry leaves and green chilli (I used a red chilli here because I forgot to buy green chilli hehe. Try and use green chilli okay, it definitely tastes better). Just stir it around till the aroma rises and the onions have softened.</span> <span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Don't let the ingredients brown</span>.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Add water, sliced tomatoes and chopped potatoes. Leave it till the vegetables soften. Tambah garam secukup rasa cewah cewah.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In the meantime, briefly pan fry your prawns. Use only two tablespoons of oil and stir the prawns around till they turn red, about 75% cooked. Don't fully cook the prawns otherwise they will overcook when you put them in the curry.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> Back to the curry, drop in a packet or two of curry powder (depending on how thick you want your curry to turn out). Add your prawns, pour in one tablespoon assam jawa juice, stir it for about two minutes and then turn off the fire.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Before I tried making roast chicken for the first time, I was intimidated by the ingredients and the fact that I'd have to use an oven. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">You see, I have a very old oven that was left behind by my landlord. Instead of coils, it has a burner at the bottom which tends to burn food, instead of cooking it thoroughly. I guess you can call it the unconventional oven hehe. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">But one day my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to give it a try anyway. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I went online and checked out Jamie Oliver's easy peasy roast chicken recipe. He does not bother peeling or finely chopping any of the ingredients. And of course this is good news for people who do not really have time to cook at home. After all, don't we all prefer home cooked food over eating out every day?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Here are the ingredients you will need :</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">One whole chicken</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">1 lemon</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Fresh thyme</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Fresh rosemary</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2 carrots</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A few stalks of celery</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">2 onions</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A bulb of garlic </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Salt</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Pepper</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Butter</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Mexican Pepper (optional)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Olive oil </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Half a cube of chicken stock</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">3 tablespoons of all purpose flour</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Roughly chop up celery, carrots, onions and scatter them around your roasting tray</span>. <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Just chop off the top of the garlic and throw the whole bulb in. It will caramelize and become buttery once cooked</span>.</div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Have you ever had a craving for a sweet dessert but you feel too lazy to leave home? And then you think, "Oh baking is just too tedious!" </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Well, I have a quick solution for you. Introducing, my simple so called dessert -</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD3SFmG_DXl3neuQmV6GrPRoFNiL-RxPBGM0rGPRwXnp0Rcn1_4t-v90CkD9OoTDeGP2jubVcJ-ZCZDsz3anYzxDpeATUq_DTOuDH0BrwcodulV3SH3NDJAiSrStwXHVDOMOVE622L_BQ/s1600/IMG_2120+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD3SFmG_DXl3neuQmV6GrPRoFNiL-RxPBGM0rGPRwXnp0Rcn1_4t-v90CkD9OoTDeGP2jubVcJ-ZCZDsz3anYzxDpeATUq_DTOuDH0BrwcodulV3SH3NDJAiSrStwXHVDOMOVE622L_BQ/s320/IMG_2120+1.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Pancakes, apples and vanilla ice cream!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It's not really a dessert but hey why not, it does not require any baking and it is rather sweet.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I got the pancake batter recipe from Martha Stewart's collection and it does not even take five minutes. Here's how you can do it step by step :</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj4-pbiUPI6TRV9aD0fOmJLCRKiv7c0PoGgPL9Sv_myMcHBERZ-SrxLlqEW9nvu73szzv8GTHVGsTugCKr12O0IrCdmEg9Ka3ouuGTUJu2-d6kuvpto6EtbpIXXrhbNpzfxg0sa6VeFwo/s1600/IMG_2104+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj4-pbiUPI6TRV9aD0fOmJLCRKiv7c0PoGgPL9Sv_myMcHBERZ-SrxLlqEW9nvu73szzv8GTHVGsTugCKr12O0IrCdmEg9Ka3ouuGTUJu2-d6kuvpto6EtbpIXXrhbNpzfxg0sa6VeFwo/s320/IMG_2104+1.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Add an egg, a cup of milk and two tablespoons of unsalted butter into a bowl</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjweOA-41p4XNEKxE9ZEbsrE7SdomtCv-tTRxOet2RlDyIN4-4fukv5YWCDeMvkBdOQqTAheDYOMl24CXzE20jlCkPLcHK9AzVwX4BcMaLQpJxLRdYMuS4WA9g_XWAjcR3gavnunzW7PFk/s1600/IMG_2107+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjweOA-41p4XNEKxE9ZEbsrE7SdomtCv-tTRxOet2RlDyIN4-4fukv5YWCDeMvkBdOQqTAheDYOMl24CXzE20jlCkPLcHK9AzVwX4BcMaLQpJxLRdYMuS4WA9g_XWAjcR3gavnunzW7PFk/s320/IMG_2107+1.JPG" height="320" width="239" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Whisk it. You do not necessarily need a mixer, you can do it by hand</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Pour your batter into the pan (on medium or low heat) until bubbles start to form. Gently flip your pancake over with a thin spatula (or you can flip it like a chef if you know how). Keep doing this until you have cooked all your batter.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Heyya friends, I think you know by now that I enjoy eating and learning to cook new things. But eating and cooking alone is very lonely. Therefore I have decided to start sharing all my eating adventures and cooking experiments with you on my youtube channel.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">What, I have a youtube channel? Hehe yes I do! Had it for ages but have not really filled it up with anything much till now. My first episode of "Food Spy" (which is what I have decided to name it) features my most favourite place in Malaysia, Penang!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I have compiled a video of my favourite food and shopping places. May not be much but I hope it is informative enough. I appreciate new subscribers to my channel, so please do so. Find my channel at <a href="http://www.youtube.com/nadiamishmore" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/nadiamishmore </a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">And now I present to you, episode one of Food Spy...</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">As we all know, The Shout Awards 2012 took place on Friday and all your favourite celebrities came out to play. (I was seated at the same table as Amy Search and I wanted a photo with him so very badly but was way too shy to ask! Sigh)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">It was an awesome event with loads of surprises, special performances and did you see the robot at the start of the show? I mean, <i>did you see the robot</i>? Absolutely mind blowing! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Now to the matter at hand. With K-pop gaining a huge following here in Malaysia, it was only fitting that we had not one but <b>two</b> K-pop acts perform at The Shout Awards. Now, I understand that some people don't understand the big fascination with K-pop while others are willing to go as far as learn the Korean language, just to show their love and support for their favourite K-pop bands/artistes. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Of course, with every big trend, there are also big skeptics. Examples range from Justin Bieber to the Hipster trend to the Gangnam Style dance. More often than not, skeptics have no real reason to deny these trends, yet they have a lot to say.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">For instance, skeptics are known to tweet things like "Gangnam Style is the lamest thing I've ever seen." or "Justin Bieber is so annoying." or "Hipsters are wannabes." </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Yet Gangnam Style has become the most watched video in youtube history, Justin Bieber is laughing all the way to the bank, carrying along his truckloads of awards, and Hipsters are celebrating life and art and not the slightest bit affected by skeptics' hateful social media postings.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Same goes with K-pop. Skeptics have so much animosity for the vast K-pop trend and following that they are willing to post the most ridiculous things on Twitter and Facebook. Unfortunately on Friday, skeptics took their hostility to a whole new level. They boo-ed and threw things at the two K-pop acts who performed on stage at The Shout Awards.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">If you weren't there, don't believe what you hear. VIXX and Nu'est did <b>not </b>get hit by water bottles or other random objects thrown at them and the boos were not even loud enough to reach the stage. I was seated right next to the stage, I heard soft boo-ing but it wasn't detrimental to the point that these two acts will swear off Malaysia after this.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Having said that, the boo-ing and the throwing of paper fans (kipas kertas, not literally throwing K-pop fans) still should not have happened. K-pop fans who were at the venue were so upset as they were there from the beginning of the show and they were good sports with every local act that performed. They screamed, they cheered, they danced and they clapped. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Basically these K-pop fans came to the show, endured the jam, stood in the rain so they could watch their two favourite acts live. Yet, they still supported all the other acts which they were not particular fans off. Why couldn't the others do the same for the K-pop fans? </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">After all, it's a party. You come to have fun and enjoy the music and music is universal. So why act in an uncivilized manner? </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I admit, I am not a K-pop fanatic myself, however ever since I started hosting 8TV Nite Live, I have learnt to appreciate the K-pop trend and their die hard fans. If you say you don't understand their fascination with K-pop, I'm sure they also do not understand your fascination with Michael Jackson/Britney Spears/Guns n Roses/Justin Bieber and whoever else you used to or still love. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">All I can say is that, everybody has their own unique preference, be it music, food, fashion, art, or even cars. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Respect their preference and they shall respect yours. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Last but not least, don't try to make this K-pop issue a religious issue because it has absolutely nothing to do with religion or race. Don't be stupid. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thank you for reading. Spread love! </span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8GoNkwifDr8eCzaNvf2bvo875w7r7YTK0CaCQe7KkHp27ylC-lZiSwEPlKVsU50wsZuuUOwinHLTQ2CennMoYEtUkbHe9afCy5hw65njYJQExgI-1gFpjNsQz4X5Z2Imv9OjS2aFHTPA/s1600/barbie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8GoNkwifDr8eCzaNvf2bvo875w7r7YTK0CaCQe7KkHp27ylC-lZiSwEPlKVsU50wsZuuUOwinHLTQ2CennMoYEtUkbHe9afCy5hw65njYJQExgI-1gFpjNsQz4X5Z2Imv9OjS2aFHTPA/s320/barbie.jpg" height="320" width="236" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I saw this today and was rendered speechless! This Russian woman models herself after Barbie, claiming that she has never had plastic surgery. However plastic surgery experts are calling her a fraud. </span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Meet Valeria Lukyanova who looks more plastic in photos than she does in videos but her body in the photos matches the videos. </span></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I found a number of videos of her on youtube, unfortunately they are all in Russian so I have no idea what she is saying. No harm checking it out though, so here is one of her, apparently addressing a hater on youtube. </span></div>
